Premiership - Manchester United v Stoke City
15 November 2008
Preview By Tipster
Rooney (England)

Stoke are the newcomers with the biggest chance of avoiding relegation. I am really regretting that I didn't take Stoke to finish above Hull before a month or so when it was a sweet 5.75 at Ladbrokes. Now it is removed but even if it comes up again the odds will be slashed.
Utd after enjoying a period of fine form they got out of track a bit and the defeat at Arsenal brought some negative criticism over Old Trafford. Rooney has lost some of his confidence but that guy what was his name, Rafael? He blasted a beauty against the Gunners. Tevez hasn't scored for some time, as he is overshadowed from Berba who currently starts with the first XI. Fergi must be rubbing his hands with pleasure looking at the competition between his strikers.
Stoke will come down disciplined and hard to break down. I think until Utd breaks the deadlock it will be very close. I certainly cannot see Stoke scoring (again), but maybe this free-throw routine from Delap is going to mess things up, u never know. Possible scores Utd 2-0, 3-0, 4-0. I am going to take a punt on this one. If the first half finishes goalless then this bet has more than 80% chance to be successful. Utd have a tricky Carling cup encounter vs dangerous QPR on Tuesday, therefore Fergi won't relish the prospect of further upsetting his squad. He will try to accommodate both fixtures while making sure he has all his weapons up and running for the trip to Birmingham to face Villa on the 22nd of November. Certainly you cannot risk loosing a key player in these situations and I am quite confident that Utd will have a cautious approach towards this game.
