Champions League - Celtic Glascow v Manchester United
Well, I do as it goes.
Celtic have lost just once in recent times at home in the Champions league, and that was against Barcelona, where arguably they should have nicked a point. Champs league nights are special at Parkhead, and the crowd are often the proverbial 12th man, with 60 odd thousand mad jocks screaming for their beloved hoops to get one over on the old enemy. It was an amazing atmosphere here last time, and I can see a similar sort of result.
Celtic are missing some oomph up front though, and it won't be easy for them to break united down, but with a massive game against Arsenal on Saturday in the back of Fergies mind, I think he will gladly take a point from this right now. Raffa will play right back for the reds, with possibly Foster in goal for only his 2nd ever start. Yes, they will still have Ronn, Roon, Tevez and Berba, but they could well be snuffed out after a difficult match up against Hull at the weekend, and no one wanting to get injured ahead of the Arsenal game.
Celtic meanwhile will be raring to get out of the blocks in the campaign, and will realistically be aiming for third place, and a UEFA cup slot. Their last 15 goals in the league have come from 10 different scorers, and with a few out injured tonight, there are some nice prices for some "anytime scorers". I can see this game being a draw, I can see goals, and I can see a cracking atmosphere.
