Super League - Thrasivoulos v AEK Athens
Olympiakos will be playing Aris Salonica away and they can drop points there. AEK will be at least fools if they don't win against the last team of the table. There are no excuses for them this time. Maurogennidis told the media that Thrasivoulos will be a hard opponent for everyone at Fyli, but truth is they made their first win just last Sunday against a troubled OFI Crete outfit. Thrasivoulos HAVE NO CHANCE if they fall a goal behind. AEK can come on top even if they are left 1 behind. AEK has been really crap in defending this year but they don't have problems scoring goals.
I am more than confident that AEK will get all three points on this one, I am not 100% sure they can go over the -1 AH. However they should be playing with Saha, Georgeas, Juanfran, Alexopoulos and Maistorovic at the back, they should be safe keeping a clean sheet. Blanco, Djebbour will try to score as many as possible and if no one is on fire, Paulis and Edinho are eagerly awaiting for their chance. The midfield will be held by Peletieri and Kafes probably while on the sides we will see Scocco and maybe Lagos or Hetemaij. Youngster Zormbas has some chance to play on this one as well as he seems to be in a good form lately.
AEK can and should win this with a convincing performance. I really can't see AEK slumping again in a stadium of a 'friendly' atmosphere as AEK fans will be there for the first time this season while Thrasivoulos fans are going to be less noisy of course. Safe bet as far as I 'm concerned. Good luck!
