FA Cup - Leiston v Lewes
Leiston Vs Lewes
Im going to have to make this a quick one as am off out in about 5 mins and not sure what time im back.
The magic that is the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup is upon us, Clubs dream about going into the hat against League clubs, And someone will end up playing the Mighty Leeds.
Leiston are the lowest ranked side left in the FA Cup, they come from Ridgeons Pemier league, which is called Step 5 football, they play against the likes of Histon Reserves, Kings Lynn Reserves and Norwich United, Although they are going wel this season its not a tough looking league. The Leiston ground looks a nice little ground, a couple of small stands and a bit of rope to segregate the fans, its pretty, but certainly not intimidating for the Lewes players.
Lewes more than any side in the Bluesq Premier are run by a budget, money generated=player wages, simple as, I suppose its why the management team here are nothing more than Marketing men, What it does mean though this game could be vital in keeping Lewes in the Premier this season. With a place in the 1st round proper Lewes badly need the win here, Im sure this will have been drummed ino the players.
Lewes are not a great side, but have improved no end over the past 6 weeks, they should be too strong for 'Step 5' Leiston and i think Lewes will command this match from start to finish, Lewes HT/FT @2.40 looks fine by me.
