Champions League - Bordeaux v CFR Cluj

Cluj has been the biggest surprise of the competition so far, as the Romanians took four points from the games with Roma and Chelsea. After shock win over Roma at the Olimpico, the team managed to hold on against Chelsea and claim another point. They can now even think about progressing to the next round although they will have to beat Bordeaux at least once in their two games. The team is doing well in domestic league and they defeated leaders Dinamo last weekend. Even though the team is playing very good lately we have to say that they have already lost two away games in the league and Bordeaux is much stronger than the teams they meet in the Romanian league.

Bordeaux is in very good form lately, mostly thanks to magnificent Gourcuff. The hosts desperately need a win and they will try everything. Anyway I think they will start the game a little cautious because and early goal could bring them down. Also I think CFR Cluj will make a counter-attack game and this works well for them as we saw in other games.

My opinion is that the Romanian team will resist until the break. From that point I don’t know everything is possible but until the break I think they will manage at least a draw.
