Primera - Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

Clash of the weekend in Spain as Barca take on Ath Madrid at the Camp Nou on saturday evening. The clash is being billed as the battle of the two Argentines as Messi goes head to head with Aguero.

Carca have not been playing well all season really. They have shown the odd signs of being a good side but then they are also showing defensive weakness. But for me this game will be about them trying to break down this Atleti defence and of course they have the ability to do this.

Messi has been on electric form of late. Scoring alot of key goals and proving a handfull to contain as he usually is. Xavi and Iniesta will also be able to provide that killer pass from the midfield. Eto'o is also likely to start up front along side either Henry or perhaps Gudjohnsen could come into the side. The full backs, Abidal and Alves will effectivly become wingers as they will spend alot of the day in the attacking end of the pitch.

Atletico have not had the best preperations for this game with so many players missing through injury. Maniche, Simao Sabrosa, Georgios Seitaridis, Pablo Ibanez, Diego Forlan and Ignacio Camacho all out. Last weekend against Sevilla i think it was clear to see the impact that these missing players had. Maniche has been a revelation since he came back into the midfield fold. They created nothing against that Sevilla side on the night and i just sense that they could come up short again tonight with their missing players. Good Luck!
