Division I - Partick Thistle v Dundee FC
Dundee appear to be in a bit of an injury crisis at the moment, 8 players are missing for this match: Gary MacKenzie, Eric Paton, Colin McMenamin, Colin Cameron, Paul McHale, Jim Lauchlan, Darren Young and Darren Williams. It leaves them with just 12 fit 1st teamers and they are considering throwing a trialist into the starting line up tomorrow. 39 year old boss Alex Rae may even polish his boots up. Dundee started the season well, 3 wins and a draw from the opening 4 matches and just 1 goal concede, As the injuries have built up though results have started to deteriorate, 4 now without a win, just 1 point in that sequence and 8 goals conceded including 5 in the last 2 games.
Partick are leading the chase behind Livingston and Queen of the South and a win will close as the gap as the top 2 meet this weekend. Particks form has been sticky at times and beating Dundee certainly isnt a shoo-in despite the injury crisis, But they did beat Dundee 2-1 back in August in the League Cup and took Rangers to ET in the next, so they do have ability in the side. 3 wins from 4 at home is good enough form to suggest they shouldnt lose this tie. Dundee havent won on the road in the last 3.
Team news does point to a Partick win but we have all been stung by lumping on these matches in the past and i dont think im brave enough to get too stuck into this game. 2.25 is still available on a Partick win and 4.30 on the HT/FT. 1.40 is also available on Partick not to lose this match and while not the biggest price ive ever backed id be surprised if Dundee can win this match, so Partick win or draw is the bet for me here.
