League Two - Rotherham v Grimsby
A quick glance at the League 2 tables and it looks like a basement battle, 22nd at home to 21st doesnt really tell us the full picture, As many of you know Rotherham started the season with -17 points.
Rotherham have made a terrific start to the season, 4 wins 3 draws and just the 1 defeat has seen them pick up 15 points already it takes there tally to -2 and come saturday the will be looking to get into + points for the season. On top of this league form some much needed funds have been raised with a run in the Carling Cup, In which they have dumped to less than 3 'Championship' sides. It means all in all Mark Robins has brought a feel good factor and a belief that they can and will turn things around this season. They come into this Grimsby match with a good home record 3-1-0 in the league which is the 2nd best in league 2 at present.
Grimsby come into this match, Managerless, Toothless and winless. They are the only side without a win in League 2 at the moment and thats not too surprising when you see they have scored just 3 goals in 8 matches (1 of them 3 was from the penalty spot). Stuart Watkiss with remain in charge until a new boss is appointed but he knows he wont be getting the job. Already several names have turned down interviews for the vacant job so the hunt continues to see who is willing to try to pull them out of this stump. Away from home this season Grimsby have managed 2 draws. both 1-1 but around them draws have been 3-0 and 4-0 defeats. Grimsby would be bottom of the table had 3 sides not started on minus points.
Everything seems to be pointing to a home win here and the 1.66 on it looks a cracking bet.
