Super Rugby League - St Helens RLFC v Leeds Rhinos

I'll have to say something about this match....

Well it's here the Grand Final of the SuperLeague this weekend in both Australia and England the 2 Top Flight Rugby League Competitions come to a head and in both Comps the 2nd and 1st placed teams at the end of the round robin's have come through with the Storm and Sea Eagles and Saints and Rhinos squaring off.

Saints dismissed the Rhinos easily last game but I reckon that Rhinos themselves did'nt play well and would be the first to admit that,Saints are a formiddible side though and should be feared they have been a class above this season and will look to cap off a great season with a Premiership Title,Saints have Cayless for this game or should have and apart from him are pretty much unchanged,,Saints may want revenge but in this game it does'nt always happen,the Saints have been playing well but all unbeaten runs come to an end and if there is any side who can do that in England it's Leeds.

Smith is in for the Rhinos but for me the biggest plus is Burgess who i think will be the difference in this match,Burgess is a player who In really rate and he has been missing the last few matches,his aggression with Peacock has been missed over the last few weeks and although Ellis has done his best the Rhinos are a far better side with Burgess in their line up and Leuliuai and Bailey off the bench it really gives the Rhinos some grunt and for long parts of their games,for me he has been missing and wiht him now back I think the Rhinos are a team to be feared here today.

But otherwise the Rhinos are unchanged also and have players back for this game,last week Leeds should of won that game by alot more but Calderwood was outstanding saving countless Rhinos raids but I will say that the Rhinos did'nt play well and if Wigan had scored in that seond half I think they could of snatched that game away from them at the death,but the Rhinos kept getting good position and won the game,The Rhinos were stopped by Calderwood but tyhey were also stopped by themselves,they blew at least another 5 try scoring chances and the main culprite was Webb who ran into dummy half a few times when the Rhinos were hard on attack and 4 times he went the wrong way when there wer big holes the other way,that needs to be fixed or the Rhinos will again lose chances and in games like this takig the chance is what is all about.

Saints have a tremendous team,but I still like Leeds to win the lot,Leeds last 2 games have been poor but what better time to pull a blinder out than in the Grand Final,they have the side to do it and if Burrow runs from dummy half which they are really missing they will be hard to beat,Saints will play their usual direct game and will have sucess like I said big games are all about taking the chance when it comes,while I think that Saints can and will take theirs I think that Leed will take a few of their own and I think their defence last week was pretty good also,all in all a great game in prospect..You know who i think wil win so I ain't going to tip on that but if the Rhinos are to win then they will play hard and score through the middle and on the flanks,and in that regard we should take Scott Donald or Smith the other winger to score a try in this game,these players will be called upon at stages in this match and both are good finishers,I thin Donald is probaly the best choice.

I look forward to the game and look forward to what is a Saturday game over there but here it is a Sunday Morning game that begins the NSW Finals for the day also,so all in all if you love Rugby League the Great day starts with this match here in the Southern Hemisphere...Go the Rhinos...Good Luck.
