Eredivisie - AZ Alkmaar v Sparta Rotterdam

Alkmaar seems to have finally put themselves together after a really disappointing start into the season. Winning over PSV must have been a major morale boost, as they trashed Willem in the previous round by 5:2 away from home. After the first 45 minutes it was 5:1 for visitors, who played really well, created many chances and what is most important - took advantage of it.

Sparta is still without a win this season. After losses in the first two rounds, they managed to drew twice in a row, but their opposition was far from being good. Taking a point away against Vitesse was very lucky, as they should have conceded way more, but hosts weren`t focused enough to do their job.

Alkmaar seems to be in uptrend and I don`t see how Sparta will be able to stop them. Hosts have more or less all players at disposal, while Sparta will miss influential defender Touzani. H2H is in favour of AZ, as they won all but one game against Sparta in the last 10 years. It is time for Sparta to concede a few goals away from home, cause they were mostly conceding them at home by now. Hosts should continue with a 3rd win in a row, most likely by 2 or 3 goals difference.
