GET Ligaen - Lillehammer v Furuset

Last two seasons this two clubs were engaged in Play-off positions fight. Furuset, since they promoted, had better results then Lillehammer, but this season it will not be the case. Furuset entered financial problems, their roster is thin and their performances are bad. Except home win against Valerenga (4:0, incredible result, their goalie Mikael Vuorio made "miracles" on goal), they didn't showed nothing. Three losses with four or more, and in last round 2:3 loss away at Lorenskog (team that should be their only concurents for bottom place. Furuset isn't only team that has zero points away, there are also Frisk and Comet, even Valerenga, but their goal difference is already 4:16 (-12) which twice as worst as any other team.

Lillehammer is nothing special, but at home they will take points against anyone. First placed Sparta failed to win only one game this season, away at Lillehammer. They now have two wins in a row (Frisk home 5:3, Stjernen away 3:1), so their only losses came against Storhamar and Valerenga, two strong teams. No one expected them to win against Stjernen either, but they showed character in that match and won despite being under pressure for long time. Their captain Stefan Sjodin is on sidelines for this match, but Ellers and A. Strandberg are back. Stian Hoygard is suspended.

To sum it up, Lillehammer isn't one of the Norwegian "big" teams, but even them should be too much for poor Furuset team. If you remember last season Stjernen, or season before that, Trondheim, they were "cannon fodders", same will be with Furuset this season. Yes, they will have some "surprising" wins during the season, but in the end it will be far more profitable to back their opponents, they will probably pick points only at home, away, maybe every ten rounds. Lillehammer should win this comfortably...
