Eredivisie - Feyenoord v NEC Nijmegen

Eredivisie game between Feyenoord Rotterdam and NEC Nijmegen.

Last week Feyenoord played an away game against FC Groningen, final result 3-1. Feyenoord looked very weak, and will probably still be week today as they have a suspension from last week and a couple of injuries. Feyenoord played for the UEFA Cup at home against Swedish side Kalmar, Kalmar won the game with 1-0 and Feyenoord looked weak again. And on Wednesday Feyenoord played at home for the Dutch Cup against Jupelier team TOP Oss, Feyenoord won the game in extra time 3-0. On October 2 Feyenoord will visit Kalmar for the return game in the UEFA Cup, and they will do anything to advance and continue in the UEFA Cup this year.

NEC Nijmegen played at home against Heracles Almelo for the Eredivisie last week, the game ended in a 1-1 draw, but Nijmegen dominated the game. I still think Nijmegen is in a good form and have good players, today will be a dificult game for them away at Feyenoord, but they can manage it. When I compare both game in the Eredivisie from Nijmegen and Feyenoord I see one thing, Feyenoord is still looking for their form, they miss important players, and they make too many mistakes. Nijmegen on the other hand didn't win in the Eredivisie in their last two games, but they played much better than Feyenoord.

The reason why I make this preview so early is that I think the odds on Nijmegen are really good, and will probably drop after Feyenoord have played against Kalmar on October 2. If Feyenoord plays like they did against Groningen last Sunday, the odds for a Nijmegen win are too high and the odds for a Feyenoord win way too low. Good luck!
