Champions League - Villareal v Celtic Glascow

Villareal will play the first game of pre-stage at home. They deserved a point at Manchester, despite the fact they were without important players like Senna & Cazorla and now they will try to build their momentum and secure the second stage of this elite competition as soon as possible. They are very strong at home and even much better teams than Celtic usually struggle at El Madrigal. They have also started well in La Liga as they are currently 1st with 13 points after 5 games.This weekend they beat Sporting Gijon away from home by 1-0. The lone goalscorer was Guiseppe Rossi who return after injury and that great news, especially after Nihat got slightly injured on weekend and most likely won`t play.

Celtic disappointed in the first round when they weren`t able to win over danish side from Aalborg. They were the better side on the field, no doubt about that, but they didin`t create as many chances as one would expected and the fact they missed a penalty is a sorry-ass excuse for not getting a wanted result. Scottish champions have really bad away record in Champions league and El Madrigal surely isn`t the place where you should expect to gather points. Celtic domestic form looks sharp, but despite wins they made, they conceded in 5/7 games played including all three games away from home.

Villareal may not be in a great scoring form yet, but they are getting the results, just like Juventus and that is what counts the most. Like I said, Nihat will miss the game, but with Rossi back and Llorente upfront they should be able to penetrate Celtic`s defense at least once. I expect something like 2-0 in the end for the yellow submarine! Good luck!
