Championship - Ipswich Town v Barnsley
Ipswich started as promotion contenders, as Bary also said, but they have been limping around so far. A 1-1-2 home record is not what they weer used to, as last season they were awesome at home i nthe first part of the season. The defeat against the Wolves is normal, but the one against Plymouth is unforgivable, for a side of their ambition. Thier form is not that good, with a win and 3 draws in their last 4 matches, but things look to improve tonight against poor Barnsley.
I have to agree that the odds are very attractive for a home win, but i would rather go for an under 2,5 goals, as odds above 1.9 are pure value here. The main reason why i like this bet is that Barnsley is unlikely to score tonight. They have failed to do so in their last 5 games and their best player is set to be transferred at Sheffield, so i don't see them getting out of the bottom 4 anytime soon. The visitors will be calling 2 youngsters for this match, 15 and 18, but they will probably be benched. Still, this shows that they have some squad issues, unlike Ipswich who are deeper and at home tonight will be looking for their third win of the season.
As i have said i can see Ipswich holding a clean sheet here and i would really fancy a win to nil bet here, as 1-0 is the most likely result to me, or maybe 2-0. Still, Barnsley will come to defend in Ipswich and the 0-0 is not to be ignored. Under 2.5 goals for me tonight and maybe a tight Ipswich win to nil. Medium stakes on the under though. Good luck.
