Blue Square Premier - Rushden v Altrincham

After a rather mediocre start into the season, hosts returned to the winning ways. They won their last three games, scored 9 times and conceded only once. It all started when they demolished poor Lewes side away from home by 4:0. Then they won over strong Burton side at home by 2:1. Several days ago they trashed strong Wrehham side away by 3:0 and that was a magnificent performance. Altough Altrincham beat Mansfield in the last round I will go against them once more. They keep getting points at home, but when they are playing away is a different story. Their only away win this season goes back to the opening round when they beat struggling Woking side by 2:1. Since then they lost all their away games, conceding 9 times and scored none! Rushed should have to much for them I believe in a clear home win, more than likely by a couple of goals. Stevenage and Kidderminster manage to beat them by 3 & 4 goals and I expect the same from Rushden. Over the past few seasons, Rushden easily won all home game against Altrincham (1:0, 3:0, 3:0). I took this pick yesterday when the odds were higher, but everything above 2.3 for this handicap line is worth taking!
