Premiership - Everton v Liverpool
The reds have let me down alot of the past year or so with bets. They did so again last weekend against Stoke again, but their approach for teams like that and for the big games is completely different. Torres and Keane up front will be a handfull for anyone and i suspect they will be similar situation for this game. Keane is likely to drop short for the ball which could cause Everton problems. But they both have pace and this is enough to scare even the best of defences in the EPL. The midfield is better following the capture of Riera. They have much more width now which is good news as they had been lacking that. Gerrard is likely to be in the middle with Mascherano which is solid partnership.
Evertons defence for me is the reason for this bet. How can they expect to contain Torres and Keane defending the way they have been just recently? Lescott is looking more and more out of place at left back and has been found out this season alot. Yobo and Jagielka are also looking weak in the middle. But they miss Carsley. His ability to break things down and make those tackles is a huge loss. Fellaini has been bought in to replace him but he needs time to settle in and this is not a good game for him. Admitidly, going forward they could be a threat but i expect Liverpool to have to much going forward here for Everton.
