Serie A - Inter v Lecce
Everybody talks about Inter, the great squad they have got and the top manager they have in the likes of Mourinho. Statistically speaking they are doing okey and everything looks good for Inter at the moment with 2 wins and a draw in the first 3 rounds, but I wouldn't say the victories were so impressive as their name suggests. They beat Torino 3-1 last round, and although hosts couldn't get a clear chance during the first half, the goals came somehow lucky (deflected ball - owngoal - and then a wonderful strike from distance). They became complacent in the second half, and Torino may have felt they deserved more than that (they even hit the crossbar). Stankovic (mid/reg) is likely to be on the bench, as is forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic (att/key), who will be rested ahead of the crucial clash with Milan at the weekend. Sulley Muntari (mid/reg) is supsended.
Lecce may look poor and lack experience, but they were decent so far. Completely outplayed Chievo and then were unlucky not to have beat Siena on Sunday. It was at home you would say, but they didn't look so chanceless in the opening round against Torino either despite the 3-0 loss. What is great with this team is they play agressive. Their defence may look naive at times, but they've got fire up front and wouldn't say they have no chance to score tonight. "We go to Milan to play our game, maybe even trying to stop the Portuguese coach, but what's for certain is that we shall play with courage,'' Guido Angelozzi of Lecce declared.
