Super Lig - Hacettepespor v Fenerbahce

Hacettepe may sound a new promoted team to Super League but they only changed their name as last year it was Oftas now it is called Hacattepe. This team when promoted last year they showed a higher performance than what everyone expected. The club is managed by Cavcav who is one of the most successful managers in Turkish League. Genlerbirligi the other team he manages and the success of it is an evidence of how much he is a good football president. Last week Hacattepe was away against Eskisehirspor in a difficult field where all aggressive and crazy fans of Eskisehir was supporting their team. They had a very resisting strength and they showed a team work by not letting their rival kick their net the whole 90 minutes. Being honest I did not give them chance in that match but they ashamed me by grabbing 1 point and departed the city. This team last year played against Fenerbahce at home and sent them without anything. This year they are hosting Fenerbahce with even more serious advantages.

Fenerbahce started the season with loose like last year. They played against Gaziantep and lost 1-0. Their second game was against Istanbul and they had 3 points by beating Istanbul 2-0. But let me tell you something about that game;- Istanbul played with 9 men and Fenerbahce was at home. Even in these circumstances Fenerbahce showed a disaster football. If Istanbul could carry on with 11 men they could have surprised us as they did not play really bad to deserve loosing. Overall I do not like Fenerbahce this year. They have a challenge. Maybe their new coach maybe missing players but something is wrong. Fenerbahce is visiting Ankara with many missing especially Edu and Lugano will not be in the squad. Lugano is fit but he could not return from South America (he was there to take his place in his national team) due to delayed flight. These absences will really weaken the defense of visitors. Emre the new transfer who is considered to be the brain of Turkish national team is not in the squad due to family problems (as far as I know). Semih got injured in midweek WCQ match. So finally the injured or missing players of Fenerbahce are :- Mert, Edu, Lugano, Semih, Tumer, Deivid, Vederson, Emre and Deniz (9 players) almost a team and half of real Fenerbahce I guess.

I want to take your attention in to some factors why this is a very tricky game for those who can not see the underdog is not a real underdog. First of all the match will be on artificial field or grass. I believe this will be a challenge for both teams but mostly for visitors. Fenerbahce’s players are in between WCQ matches and CHL as in the midweek Fenerbahce will be traveling to Portugal to play their first CHL game against Porto. This can cause them a lack of motivation. Also such teams Hacattepe motivates very well against such big teams from Istabul like Fenerbahce, Galatasaray or Besiktas. I heard from the media that the players are preparing and working and fully concentrated on this match. They do everything to prove themselves to big clubs in order to be transferred or to make a further step in their career. Well I believe the odds for home team are a lot and it is time to benefit with small stakes or AH with big stakes. Good luck.
