Super Rugby League - Leeds Rhinos v Super Rugby League

As the NRL Fianls kick off in the Southern Hemisphere in the Northern Hemisphere the other Top Flight Rugby League Comp also starts towards it's end as the Super League Finals start.

This Finals for the Super League is far more clear cut than it's Southern Counterpart and really only 2 sides can really win it,Braford will do nothing,Warringtons defence is just depressing to watch and Catalans will eventually lose,the one side not liked that will have a bearing on this Finals series is Wigan who after a season of being middle of the road last weekend turned up against St Helens and earnt a point for a draw,now while they did'nt win it should be noted that they played probaly the best they have all season and that could see themn do some good things if they can make it past the first round of the Playoffs which they should as I think tyey will get by Bradforsd this weekend to advance,the other games set already is the Catalans Dragons vs the Warrington Wolves in a game in which will see the loser eliminated and I am actually thinking that the Wolves could get up in that game even though their defence is shit.

Saints face off against Leeds to advance direct to the Grand Final and i'm picking that this game will be hard to call and I will not make a call on that game as yet but with the other results that would see a Week 2 Finals match between Wigan and Warrington and I think that Wigan will again prevail and they will hen play for the Chance to go to the Grand Final against Leeds or Saint Helens,I don't think there will be any other sides apart from Leeds and Saints in the GF and for that reason I am more inclined to lean towards Leeds.

The Reason I fancy Leeds so much right now is simple really,Saints are now on an unbeaten 21 Match run but the signs over their last two games have been on a down ward trend,in the Challenge Cup Final against Hull they looked far less potent and last week they were held to a draw against Wigan,you can't win forever and their main rivals in this Comp in Leeds have shown some signs of life in recent weeks and are starting to get back to full tilt for this finals assault.

Leeds started their season well with a win over the Storm for the World Club Title but have been hit or miss for the rest of the season,at stages this season they have looked poor but then have had a few weeks of dominace again and have faded again,the last few weeks Leeds have started to hit their straps and if there is one side who can perform to the same level of Saints its Leeds,both sides have a wealth of talent and both sides have great club structure,they also both have very proud records in recent seasons,we will be goign through all the Finals games comming up over the next few weeks but like the NRL there is really only a couple of teams who can win the Comp and i'm siding with Bluey to get the Rhinos up and win the Super League back to back...Good Luck.
