WTA - Serena Williams v Jelena Jankovic
8 September 2008

2nd bet on the womens final.....if the mods allow it.
Total aces in match.
The line for total 'aces' is set at 7.5, so the question is :can i see there being 8 aces in the match??? Well 'No' is my thought.
Serena holds the key to this bet, Just how many will she hit?? In her 6 matches so far she is in pole position with 30 aces, thats an average of 5 per match (she hit 7 past her sister in the QF) i think she alone will need 7 for this bet to lose and 7 is some ask. JJ isnt renowned for her big serve and isnt even on the top 20 map for 'aces' here at the US Open so i know she has less than 10. I dont honestly see JJ hitting more than 1 ace in this contest so it all down to Serena.
At 7.5 i think the line is maybe a fraction too high and its a big ask to see these 2 share 8 aces, especially as ive said before the wind is a little blustery there at time. If this match doesnt go 3 sets then i think we could be onto a winner here.

Pick :
total aces under 7.5

Odds :
1.83

Stake :
5 / 10

Bookmaker :
Paddy Power

Match Result :
6
