ATP - Rafael Nadal v Andy Murray
Murray and Nadal take to the courts later again tonight to finish off yesterdays Semi-Final. When the rain arrived midway through the 3rd set the pride of Britain Andy Murray was leading the world no.1 Rafael Nadal 2-0 although Nadal leads 3-2 with a break in the 3rd set.
Personally i thought the rain came at the right time for Murray yesterday, i felt he was beginning to look a little bit weary and his serve didnt seem to as potent (especially his 2nd serve) which as we know isnt the strongest at the best of times. Murray put a hell of a lot of work into the opening 2 sets and completely deserved his 2-0 lead, But i just got a gut feeling that if they had stayed out Nadal would have turned things around.
Nadal started yesterday at around 1.3 to win the match and with a perfect 5-0 h2h record over Murray that isnt really a surprise. At 2-0 down Nadal can be backed at 2.37 to win the match, 3-2 up the in the 3rd with a break should mean Nadal makes it 2-1 in sets and could mean a swing in the momentum.
Murray firstly has never been in this position against Nadal before and secondly has never been in a 'slam' semi final so it will be interesting how his nerve holds after a nights sleep. At the Australian Open in 2007 Nadal came from 2-1 to beat Murray and with set 3 his for the taking should find himself 2-1 down again.
Im happy to take a Nadal fightback here at 2.37 tonight
