NPC Rugby Union NZ - Northland v Tasman

Northland will be looking to get on the board here today and they should against Tasman.

The Taniwha should get a second win today here against Tasman,the Tanwha since their opening game have not won again even though they have put in some pretty big performances and have shown that scoring points is not to much of a worry for them,I like them today.

The Makos were well beaten last week and the week before registering only 21 points while allowing 85 and I really doubt that will happen again this week,the makos are'nt that bad a side but have'nt beem playing well,this game is btween the two sides who are being dropped next season and this really is a chance for one of these sides to stand up and say we are better than them,but in saying that both sides play very different styles,the Makos play a slow strutcured game and rely on good tactical kicking to get them chances while for the Taniwhas they are much more open to playing an open game.

Northland beat Tasman here last season 9-3.

I get the impression watching Northland they they are very much hit or miss,if they are on they can score but they have just as many times in games where they just seem to fall quiet and allow other sides back in and I expect this to be a game like that,the Makos will not be as pathetic as they have been and the Taniwhas will be as average as they always are and will come away with a hard fought win when it really should be an easy one,take the Taniwha to win in a close one...Good Luck.
