NRL Rugby - Brisbane Broncos v Newcastle Knights

Big Friday Night in the NRL this week with 4th place being decided on Friday night as the 3 teams battling for that place go head to head at the same time and at the end of the 80 mins we will know which side of thge Dragons,Broncos and Roosters will get the last home semi final in week one of the finals.

Last week the Newcastle Knights put in a great display and got over the Melbourne Storm,this week they face an even worse task of having to travel to Suncorp to face the Broncos,the last time the Knights fronted in Brisbane they were spanked 71-6!! The Knights are stil without Buderus as you all should know but they still boast a side that have been in every game they have played this season and with it all on the line again tonight I doubt a 70 point thrashing is on the cards,the Knights have shown an ability to stay in games and still have the best finishing record of any side in the NRL this season in the last 20mins and they will need to do that again tonight if they are to have any chance at all in this contest,their season hangs in the balance and we should expect another good show for the boys from the Hunter Region.

Thye Broncos know the importance of this game for themselves and 4th place at stake or not the Broncos will be looking to fine tune what they have beenb doing of late to get on the front foot for the Finals,the Broncos have all of their stars in attendance tonight but over recent weeks they have been far from impressive and their wins have become hard fought when at stages they really look like they should win with relative ease,these are the types of games that the Broncos have stood up and this is no different,they get Ennis back tonight and that improves them alot and they will have to improve against this Knights side who seem to keep finding that extra little bit to win their games.

Recent results and the Broncos have won 6 of the last 7 against the Knights but in Brisbane the Broncos have won the only one of the last 3 played there.

Like I said this game will be far from easy for the Broncos and with the Knights knowing it's all or nothing this match should be god veiwing,the battle between Hodges and Mad Dog will be a highlight as neither player likes the other,the Forward battle will be huge also but as far as brains is concerned with Wallace and Lockyer the egde has to go to the Broncos but put a little bit on the draw as well as both sides love finishing off games in Golden Point this season,Don't forget also that this is the Broncos Mentors Bennetts last regular season home game for the Broncos so expect some emotion and take the Broncos by 12 points or less.....Good Luck.
