ATP - Roger Federer v Gilles Muller

Roger Federer is the best tennis player ever but he is far form that form that made him a legend of this sport.He now has a big trouble against players who can't compare with his potential.Roger had a lot of trouble against Andreev who is a good base liner but his game is not on that high level that we could call him a top player on hard courts.Roger is going trough a difficult stage in his career and after Wimbledon he is not the same player.He doesn't have that self believe,he makes plenty of unforced errors and he can't keep consistency trough the whole match.He also isn't moving so well and I think that he don't have a chance to win this year US Open if he continues on playing like this.

Gilles Muller is a big surprise of this year US Open.He has showed some great tennis during the last ten days and he deserved to play a match against Roger.Muller was the winner of US Open when he was a junior in 2001. so it is clearly that he is feeling excellent here.He has a massive serve and he is currently the ace leader with around 120 aces so far.That is his biggest strength and he is doing a superb job so far.He will have a lot of self confidence going in to this match as he has beaten some very good players like Haas,Almagro and the easiest match was against Davydenko in previous round.He prefers serve and volley play and also knows to play very good from his backhand and forehand.

So I think that this will not be an easy match for Federer and I expect form Muller to take at least a set here so I predict a 3-1 correct score for Federer but I will take a safer bet.Good luck.
