Blue Square Premier - Woking v Lewes

Both teams are struggling at the bottom of the table with 1 and 2 points gathered in 6 games so far. Hosts however played only twice at home where they lost to Altrincham (1:2) and current leaders Forrest Green (0:1). When they played away they weren`t much better but they faced quite tough opponents and never lost by more than a single goal. Transfer window has closed and they managed to bring two new players (Tony Thorpe and Wilfried Domoraud) who will go straight into the squad. Two strikers (Abdou El Kholti and Joel Ledgister) are out due to injuries. Kholti played all six games so far, but his performance was really poor, while Ledgister played twice and scored a goal, but he has been out since his day 2 when he broke his arm.
Lewes are one of the poorest sides if not the poorest in the whole division. They conceded no less than 15 goals so far and except for the surprising draw against Kidderminster on day one they easily lost the other two away games (2:0 vs Weymouth & 5:2 vs Burton). With rather small and inexperienced squad they will suffer for sure, especially when some injuries or suspensions come by. Well guess what...it has already happened. They will sorely miss two important defenders in this game. Danny Cullip (32 years old player who`s got experience from Championship league and League one) and Chris Breach (defensive midfielder, who played all 6 games so far) are both out.Midfielder Matt Geard is also struggling with injury and won`t play, but Danny Davis should be fit despite being substituted in previous round.
Both teams have low confidence after such results, but hosts who are surely better side here will be hoping to raising their morale by scoring some goals which they were lacking so far. Well, with two new signings, especially veteran striker Thorpe (used to play for Fulham and Luton) they have more competitive squad and it`s only a matter of time when the results will come. This is a perfect opportunity for the first win of the season and if we add all the problems Lewes is dealing with, I can`t see how this can go wrong! I expect something like 2-0 in the end for the hosts and I expect them to go for an early goal that is why I will try this HT/FT offer!Good luck!
