ATP - Roger Federer v The Field

This is Federer’s weakest year in past 5-6 seasons and he is well determined to save the season with winning at least one Grand Slam. He is no more Number One and according to him, the pressure is not on him anymore, but I doubt about that. He desperately wants to win this Grand Slam and to finish as number One once again at the end of season. Being number two seeded gave him much harder schedule, meeting Djokovic into the semi finals and Djokovic eliminated Federer on surface like this in Australia Open also in the semifinals, but Djokovic is not in great form, yesterday he had big troubles with Cilic.

Nadal is number one favorite, but I do not think that he can keep great record and win three Grand Slams in a row, especially that this is very fast surface, no matter that Nadal has huge improvement on all fast surfaces.

I expect another great battle in the finals between Federer and Nadal and no matter that Federer has fear when playing against Nadal, he is capable of taking him down from number one at the end of season. For these odds, Federer for me.
