WTA - Flavia Penneta v Amelie Mauresmo

Amelie Moauresmo had really bad season so far, she had many injuries, and when she played she was not at her best. On this tournament she got some pretty high odds and nobody expected her to go so far in the tournament, but she proved them wrong and she is playing pretty well and she is always controlling the match flow and at the moment I think that she can beat anyone, even Williams sisters.

Flavia Penneta, in my opinion this is her maximum. So far in previous three rounds she has eliminated Petrova, Peng and Vogele and in all of those matches, Penneta needed three sets. Now she is facing Mauresmo pretty strong and pacey player with no difference of backhand and forehand.

Mauresmo did not participated in last year’s US Open, but in all of her previous six appearances on this Grand Slam, she always reached at least quarter finals. I think that she is much better than Penneta and I think that Mauresmo is playing on her level once again and I think that Penneta will not stop her in seventh consecutive quarter final.
