MLB - Oakland Athletics v Minnesota Twins

I need something to watch in the arvo tomorrow and I like the look of this new series that starts today as the Twins who started winning again yesterday face off against the A's who were pretty good against the Angels over the last few days.

The A's look to carry on at home today with Eveland 8-8 with an era of 4.30,The A's behind Eveland have won 2 of his most recent 3 starts against the Mariners and Rangers,his lone loss comming against the Red Sox two starts ago,he has numbers of 1-1 with an era of 9.88 in those last 3 starts,Career wise and Eveland is yet to face the Twins.

The Twins will get started in this series with Blackburn 9-8 with an era of 3.78,The Twins behind Blackburn have lost his last 3 starts against the Angels,A's and Yankees,which is funny because Blackburn seems to go through phases of losing games and then winning them in sequence so Blackburnb could be due a trip to the winners cirle today,maybe,but his numbers in his last 3 starts are 0-2 with an era of 5.19,Career wise and Blackburn has numbers of 0-1 against the A's with an era of 3.38,he threw 8 innings for 3 earned on 6 hits and took the loss in a 3-2 game.Also 3 of Blackburns last 4 starts have resulted in over 8 runs.

I like the run line on this game for a couple of reasons,One is that the Twins need to keep winning to try and stay in contention for the wildcard and with the Indians winning it becomes more important to them ,the Twins are also 25-16 against Left handed starters and have won 7 of the last 10 played between these two ballclubs and I also like this bet because the A;s have just finished taking some wins against the Angels which is no mean feat this season as well so this series could be a good one if both sides can keep on hitting in the runs.

While both sides are not hitting the runs in this season the A's have been against the Angels and the Twins finally got going against the Mariners yesterday and with that in mind and only a short run line on offer for this game I quite like it to end 5-4 to the Twins so I expect both sides to score and the game itself to be pretty good veiwing...Good Luck.
