NPC Rugby Union NZ - Otago v Hawkes Bay

Our only decent bet comes on Friday Night as the Magpies head to Dunedin to take on Otago.

Otago beat Counties last week,I took Otago to win that game by 14-18 points from my local and they won by 14 exactly,Otago have won 3 games to start this season off and have looked ok but nothing spectacular,they get most of their play through their forwards which is Otagos way and they use their backs sparingly but usually it pays off when they do,Otago don't have great depth but they like the Highlanders try very hard to win their games and are always a chance even late to score,I have liked watching them play although last weeks game was hardly awe inspiring but a win is a win no matter how you look at it,I think they might just be up against it this week though as the Maggies although I have been shafting them all season long might just have enough to score a few points here today.

The Magpies won again last week against Tasman and I was pretty much taken a back at how the Magpies are scoring their trys this season and thought that they might have a shot at Otago if they can continuie to play that expasive game and all and all last weekend they pretty much did it again,the Magpies have scored some unbeleivable trys in their last 3 games against Northland,Southland and last week against tasman,like length of the field unreal shit and they seem to be able to put that together at stages every week and score some wicked trys off of that play,their forward pack has been solid even though I keep expecting them to fall apart and all in all have been pretty deadly.

I think tht Hawkes Bay are a pretty good chance here,Otago have a good defence and a great forward pack but they don't have that surprise factor whereas the Magpies do and they keep on showing it,On paper both sides are pretty even talent wise so once again it's whichever team can take their chances when they come,I think that Hawkes Bay will create a few and take one or two and get the win...Good Luck.
