In this game I'm going to concentrate myself in an exotic bet: team totals, so I won't be able to explain my pick with a technical approach, as we don't have material to do it for this type of bet.

The D-Backs after yesterday's defeat will use their ace pitcher today Brandon Webb to comeback to the winning road, the truth is that the team has lost 3 of their last 4 games and with the Dodgers playing in Philly, the D-Backs really need to take this chance. The team comes from two games where their offense disappeared against the Padres and the Marlins respectively: yesterday vs Padres .156 BA and .416 OPS, while against the Marlins .129 BA and .472 OPS. If there is a clear struggle of the team. the truth is that facing Jake Peavy and Ricky Nolasco isn't easy, so I expect their offense to come fired up for today's game.

Especially when the SP for the Padres today isn't at the same level. The rookie Chad Reineke will make his 3rd start for the team and in the two previous outings, Reineke allowed 3 runs in each game, which the last outing being against the D-Backs in Arizona, where Reineke had a good performance, allowing 3 runs and 5 hits in 6 innings. However for this game, I expect his task to be much harder, as he won't be an unknown for the D-Backs and the fact Arizona was the last team he has faced will make him struggle today.

The total for this game is at the 7 runs, mainly thanks to Webb and we can find in the sportsbooks, the D-Backs being listed with 4,5 runs. As I've explained previously, I don't believe Reineke will make a back to back quality outing against the D-Backs once again, especially in just a 5 days span.
