Carling Cup - Leeds v Crystal Palace

I gotta say I see some value in this offer. Leeds failed to go back to Championship league last season, but only due to a penalty of 15 points deduction. They posses quality in their ranks, there is no doubt about that, although they haven`t started this season`s campaign the way they wanted. However they dismantled Chester away from home by 5:2 and that is good enough sign for me that they are interested in this cup. No important missings before today`s match for the home side.

Crystal Palace on the other hand are hoping to get back to Premier league, but they fail year after year, although that is their primary objective every season. They won over Hereford at home by 2-1 in the first round, but they seem to lack a firepower as they haven`t scored a single goal in league campaign in three games with 2 goalless draws at home and a deserved loss away at Preston (2-0). Captain Shaun Derry and striker James Scowcroft are suspended and that is another blow for Palace, who will visit one of the best Championship sides Reading on saturday.

Leeds can beat anyone at home, they are scoring goals, but they need to improve their defense. Palace may still be the better side here, but they are woeful up front and have some players out. This is a cup game so I have to consider Leeds as a favourite here and if I may say a little bigger than this odds suggest.Good luck!
