WTA - Ioana Raluca Olaru v Edina Gallovits

Romanian battle in here. Olaru is a really talented player, who after a bad beginning of season is once again climbing in the rankings to get into the Top 100. She has won 10 of last 12 matches and with the way she played in the qualifying, she should be able to pass her country mate and repeat her second round result last season. Olaru can serve very well and her movement on court is great, being capable of opening the angels extremely well, as you may have seen on her last against Venus Williams last season in here. She also comes very confident for this game, after having beaten Portuguese rookie sensation Michelle Larcher de Brito, in the last round of the qualifying, when the Portuguese was the clear favorite to win.

Edina Gallovits comes to this match without any kind of practise, as she is coming from a foot injury, which prevent her from playing since Wimbledon. Gallovits is more a clay courter than a player for fast surfaces and the truth is that she is 8-12 on her last 20 matches outside clay at WTA level (Olaru is also 8-12, mainly thanks to her horrible form earlier this season). As a curiosity, Gallovits is 2-2 against fellow Romanians, while Olaru is 11-0 against other Romanian players!

Olaru is playing with confidence and she is way better than Gallovits, especially with her coming back from a foot injury. Olaru will obligate Gallovits run a lot and with her probably far from her best physical condition, Olaru will make it 12-0 against her country mates.
