Nordic Trophy is coming to end, there are two rounds left (three for some teams) and it's time to get positions for final stages. Current situation on table looks like this (number of games played in brackets):

1. Linkopings 12 pts (7)

2. Frolunda 10 pts (6)

3. Djurgardens 8 pts (7)

4. Farjestadts 7 pts (7)

5. - 8. HIFK, Karpat, HV-71 TPS 6 pts (first three 6, TPS 7)

9. Tappara 4 pts (6)

10. Jokerit 2 pts (6)

We see that Swedish teams have total domination so far and only HIFK or Karpat may interfere in top four standings. Linkopings and Frolunda already theoretically secured place in Play-offs (first eight are playing PO so it wasn't so hard). Djurgardens and Farjestads are also there. So, this match is really only a preparation for Frolunda and Djurgarden and you can see it by Frolunda's coach pre-match statements. They will today again experiment with the team, Blomdahl and Pettersson are surely out, but there will be much more additions of junior players. That means that few other senior players will also rest. When Frolunda made such thing in first round of Nordic Trophy they got easily beaten by TPS 4:1, and Djurgardens are more stronger then TPS. Coach said they will play hard and physical match (read: many penalties) and they will press for puck.

On the other side, Djurgardens usually have high scoring games. Yes, last game with HV-71 finished only 2:1, but there were totally 64 shots in whole match which is rather big and their goalie Gustaf Wesslau was man of the match. This will be their third game in six days and Wesslau should be pretty tired after match like this. Frolunda young players will "bite" and Djurgarden first line also looks powerful so i expect many goals from both sides. Frolunda will play relaxed and young players will be motivated, Djurgardens at home and pretty exhausted, but with great first line. I think Djurgarden is a bit underestimated by bookies, but will stick with the over as there was only few draw games (in fact only one) in this Nordic Trophy and i expect few of them to happen in this last few rounds. My guess is any result above 3:3
