ATP - Fernando Verdasco v Mardy Fish

Us Open main even is about to begin but still few players are fighting for this year New Haven title. In first pair of men's semifinals Spaniard Verdasco will match home player Mardy Fish. I expected more balanced odds and in this situation I think it is a really value to try Fish with such high odds. Verdasco didn't proved that he should be here a strong favourite even if he didn't lost a set in this tournament. Before this tour Verdasco also disappointed strongly losing in last two tours to Lapentti and Serra, which are definitely not on his level. Maybe he feels better on clay, but according to his game style and class he should finish such players without much problems but he lost without many problems. In my opinion Verdasco in spite of his great skills of leading ball exchanges he poses very weak psyche and on hard it gives us many breaks of his serve. Result show that he won clearly with Dudi Sela, but still Israeli broke Spaniard serve twice. Zverev had 5 chances and used two of them. Fish even after injury and not in such strong shape is two class better player than Sela, Minar or Zverev and he will push much stronger Verdasco on court. He lost a set to Odesnik in first round, where in 2'nd set he just lost game conception and freaked out, but in 1'st and 3'rd set he gave no break chances and just crushed other American. Gicquel is not top but still solid player and also here Fish gave not many chances to French man. Tiny Levine also was only formal thing on Fish way. Fish is born for hard and I hope he rebuild his form from Indian Wells, winning this tittle would increase his confidence much before US Open. Verdasco is already seeded in coming Grand Slam and he plays only for glory and money, he didn't impress me in past matches and match against Serra in last event was awful. If Fish will hold such good serving form I think he is able to finish Verdasco in 2 sets.
