Well, my fourth hockey pick this season, so far it has been good and i'm trying to be selective, but i can't resist betting against Jokerit once again.

Yesterday i won my Frolunda bet, today Jokerit plays again, this time against Djurgarden. I think it is big handicap for Jokerit, it's their third game in four days, probably too much in this stage of preparations. Their yesterdays loss was well deserved, they were totally out of match in first period, even came back in 2nd period, but their PP play is awful, they conceded shorthanded goal and weren't a real threat in later stages of the game.

Djurgarden also played yesterday, beaten Finnish Karpat 5:2. They outplayed them totally, and Djurgarden's first line showed as one of the best in this tournament. They also managed to score a shorthanded goal and outshooted Karpat 31-19. Their results so far are in total uptrend, first they lost to Finnish teams HIFK (2:3) and Tappara (2:4), but they managed to win against the weakest Finland team TPS 6:2. Then they lost to Linkopings (team that plays the best hockey on this tournament, not only by their results, but by their performances) 1:4. In yesterdays match, as i already said, they won 5:2 totally deserving.

So, Djurgarden so far has only one win more then Jokerit, but their performances were good, especially lately. Jokerit on the other side managed to beat only Tappara, while they lost all their games against Swedish opposition. I can see three reasons why to play on Djurgarden.

- Jokerit in this stage can't play three games in four days on same level, while Djurgarden plays two games in two days, but at home. Advantage to Djurgarden

- Djurgarden home advantage

- Jokerit still didn't found their first line, they are experimenting a lot, and are playing awfully in PP, absence of two best point scorers Ville Leino and Tim Stapleton who left the team is obvious. Yes, Jokerit scores a lot, but that are hard earned goals, while they concede some cheap ones, goalie Riksman is one of the worst in the tournament and i think Hallikainen is much better. Only game that Hallikainen played they lost to Linkoping 2:4, but where outshooted 45-30 and Hallikainen wasn't that bad. Anyway goalies are proven problem for Jokerit and Djurgarden has advantage there too.
