NRL Rugby - St George Dragons v NZ Warriors
The Dragons got a big win last week over the Broncos and that has set them up well for their run into the finals, they were behind against the Broncos also but the Broncos second half woes continuied and they got back on track in the end thanks to their strong centre combo of Gasneir and Cooper, this week the Dragons get Creagh,Soward and Setu back which not only improves their forward pack alot but also gives them more options in attack and they might need that, the Dragons won last week but it was against a very under strength Broncos side and they still struggled to really put them away,if anything the Dragons were very lucky in alot of ways last week and will have to play better than that if they are to get a win this weekend.
The Warriors beat the Sharks last weekend but winning at home and winning away are very different things for the Warriors and their form away from home has been average all season long winning only 3 of their 10 away games this season, the Warriors last away game was one they were expected to win against the Bunnies and they fell I get the feeling that the Warriors themselves have learnt from that and will put up a much better performance this weekend away to the Dragons but whether it will be enough to get the 2 Points still remains to be seen.
Recent results and the Dragons have won 2 of the most recent 3 matches and have won the last 2 at home against the Warriors.
I would love to see the Warriors get up here but it is a tall order for them, their defence has been solid and the Players themselves seem to be in a much better head space heading into this clash but with the Dragons getting players back this week and also winning last weekend I think they will be ready for the Challenge the Warriors are about to throw at them, the real key to this game is'nt the Forwards it's the Backs,Tate and Ropati can and should hold Cooper and Gasnier so the real key is who can nget the best out of themselves and set up their outside men to score, beleive it or not one player in this game holds the key to this game, the Dragons will bomb away to Vatuvei,if he can hold onto the ball against Nightingale and stay the distance the Warriors will win, people underestimate Manu,he has his disaster moments but he is a very damaging runner and can hold a game in his own hands, forward wise and both sides are equal,Centre wise the Dragons hold a small edge, but for sheer power and stregth Vatuvei is the key,i'm going to side with him and say that he wil have a blinder and the Warriors will get up...Warriors win...Good Luck.
