Premiership - Wigan v Chelsea
Where do i start with Chelsea, well, on Sunday they were awesome, It may have taken 4 years but i have finally been entertained by the 'machine' that is Chelsea, There passing, movement, tempo, everything was as good as ive even seen from them, Ok in the 2nd half they moved into 'cruise control' but its a long season ahead. It has certainly got the bookies running scared, i backed them at 2.75 on the anti post and after just 1 match they have flip flopped with Manchester United as title favourite, Uniteds lacklustre performance may also have something to do with this.
Under 'Big Phil' we might just be begining to see a new style of Chelsea and its one that i think will storm the title this season. The defence looks at its solid best, the midfield has a mixture of graft and skill and the forward line offers pace and power. Deco fitted in nicely on sunday and will be a key player in the midfield.
Chelsea will be looking to go to Wigan this weekend and get another 3 points, and why shouldnt they, the impressive 4-0 victory over Portsmouth has given them the perfect start. Wigan will be amongst the relegation battlers this season and there defeat against a West Ham side who blow hot and cold doesnt suggest any different at this stage.
1.44 i'll grant you isnt the greatest price for an away side in the Premiership in the opening weeks of the season, but nevertheless it looks a sure fire winner to me and with Chelsea being the backbone to many an 'accer' this weekend i can only see the price shortening if anything.
