ATP - Viktor Troicki v Igor Kunitsyn

Who few days ago would expect to see these two in such high phase of Washington tour? 22 years old Troicki is a well-talented Serbian but who never really showed his potential and didn't achieve anything big. 27-years old Russian Kunitsyn is in my opinion solid but definitely from second line of ATP player and he also didn't use to be often in such high phases of any tours. Troicki surprised everyone beating in quarter-finals tittle defender Andy Roddick. He was able to do that after losing first set with horrible 0:6 result. After that he stand up and keep well serving form, giving not many chances to American to be any real threat. Washington hard surface is very fast which favourites players like Troicki with 193cm height his serve his is very strong and aces comes often. He already beat Gremelmayr and Reynolds and I hope that after winning match against Roddick he will become more stable on court and we won't see such scenes like against Reynolds where he played on his level in 1'st and 3'rd set and struggled in 2'nd. Sometimes he just like to freak out on court and that's why I will not bet for exact score, but still as I see lately he was losing only to very strong players and don't think he will miss such chance to reach final, because Kunitsyn isn't a very hard challenge. But still Russian poses much more experience and seems to be more stable on court. If Troicki will be unable to hold his serve and start to get nervous Kunitsyn can give him a fair battle where anything could happen. But still Igor don't poses strong serve and he presented not so good in past matches. Zverev, Fognini and Dev Varman. He lost two sets with first two and Hindi Dev Varman was able to break him three times in their clash. His game under own serve looks weaker than this what Troicki showed. Kunitsyn fits more for clay and he don't deserve for me for final. Troicki need to stay focused. He already beat Kunitsyn on hard, which is a good surface for him. Hope he can make it.
