Premiership - Bolton v Stoke City

Here we go then, the first EPL pick of the season. I hope for the same levels of sucess in this league as last season and see no reason to not achieve such levels.

This on paper looks an obvious bet. Stoke really could be the Derby of last season this year. They have the same squad as last year almost and have added very little. Dave Kitson is there. But is he going to score 20+ goals this season? I really dont think so. The service will of course be long balls in towards him, but Cahill and Shittu should be more than capable of winning this battle with their strength and aerial abilitys. Lawrence and Fuller are both doubts for the game which would again be a huge lose for Stoke as these two were massive players for them last season. It's really difficult to see where the goals will come from this stoke side. Their direct approach will not be as effective against much stronger sides defensivly.

Bolton should perform better than they had last season and i suspect that they will. They ave added some more attackig ability with Riga and Elmander and have also added more strength and quality to their midfield with Muamba. The midfield battle should be won by Bolton with Muamba, McCann and Nolan all being tough tacklers. This is of course the most important area on the pitch. As previously said, they should have more goals in them aswell with Riga and Elmander up front.

I dont expect Stoke to get anything from this game. They will look to sit back and really should create very little. I expect Bolton to break them down. Good Luck!
