NRL Rugby - Parramatta Eels v Wests Tigers

What a game for Monday Night Football now as the Tigers face off against the Eels in what is a crucial encounter for either side,The Eels beat the Roosters last week and somehow are still in contention for the 8 while the Tigers are on a 2 game winning streak and they temselves are still a chance of making the 8,the Eels it in an amasing 22 points only a win outsiude the 8 after a season in which they have seemed lifeless untill last week and the Tigers sit on 24 and a win here would see them firmly in the 8 at the end of this weekend regardless of other results,so this is another huge game.

The Eels had a great record against the Roosters and once again history repeated,the Eels are still in the running for the 8 but this really is their last chance a loss here would see them well and truly out of the running with only 3 games remaining,they played well last week but to back that up against probaly the fastest running side in the NRL could be an intresting thing as the Tigers are well and truly the only side in this comp who can force the tempo of the game for the entire 80mins,however Parra have struggled because of their lack of forward power and in this game it evens itself up alot the Tigers have great backs but then again so do Parra and the loss of Payton really brings this Tigers pack down to match up even more with the Eels pack.

The Tigers are a good side and most of their games are great as they do play a very attractive brand of footy that can astound the viewer at times but they lack size and Parra have shown in the last 3 games between these sides that a bit of size and power can usually get the job done,while the Tigers have a great game plan there are one or two sides who can and do match up very well to them and this Eels side is one of them,this game will be close and will really hang in the balnce untill late i reckon and then it is up to which team can take it's chance,last week both of these sides scored late to seal the win and that is what will happen this week also.

Recent results and the Eels have won the last 7 games agaist the Tigers including this season when the Eels smashed the Tigers in Rd 14,6-44.

I like the Eels again this week not only bacause they have an outstanding record against the Tigers but also because of the forward power for either side as it looks to be pretty even,Mateo is the key in this game and Farah is for the Tigers,the Eels although they have'nt shown it can play and to dismiss them is'nt a good thing,th Eels are a side who can play both forms of modern day Rugby League,they can grind out games and they can play up tempo games and in the up tempo games they actually go quite well.

Overall i think the Class of Inu,Hayne and Reddy with Willams on the wing will over power Lawrence and Collis and the Eels will win in a close one,so take the EEls by 12 points or less,....Good Luck.
