Tweede Klasse - Oud-Heverlee Leuven v Sint-Truiden

Sint Truiden, although they have been relegated and faced some cash problems during the last season, they didn't lost all of their important first eleven players after the relegation due to their bad financial situation, nearly the half squad stayed, and they are tipped as one of the favorites to return to Jupiler League. May the departure of their most important player, midfielder Rocky Peeters who left for Antwerp, will cost them, but there is still enough quality for the division standards to make something good. Other players who left the team and played enough games last season are Bosnian midfielder Mirsad Beslija who joined Scottish Hearts, midfielder Kevin van Dessel who joined Venlo, defender Nicky Hayen who joined Roosendaala and keeper Frank Boeckx who signed for Gent. Other players who left was over 35 years old, and generally their roster's average age dropped down to 25.8 years old. But after all these departures, there is also some important additions that will cover all these places, especially at midfield. Mark Wagemakers, a very experienced midfielder who came from Westerlo will cover Peeters departure, while defenders Daan Vaesen (signed from Roselaar) and Vincent Euvrard (KVSK utd) filled the gap on their defensive line. A very promising defender also joined their team, German/Turk Osman Kose, directly from Schalke II, a lot was said for this guy, time will tell. All in all, Truiden has nothing to fear and can fight for the top 3 places to the league with Lierse and Brussels their main enemies.
To the home side, Oud-Heverlee starting the season with no specific target, but as their fans saying, they want something more than a mid place this season. They didn't spend for transfers, although their budget was improved more than 15%. The players who joined their team are mostly unkown and very young players under 20 years old. Christopher Bombele (Mouscron U19), Jeremy Bossekota (Derby County U19), Osahon Macky Eboigbe (Blackburn U19), the only important and very good transfer was Steve Dugardein, defensive midfielder from Mouscron. Generally a negative summer for them, as they lost a couple of main eleven players (Thomas Matton gone to Zulte, Govert Boyen gone to Dortrecht and Toni Brogno sold to Charleroi).
The odds for Truiden are very good concerning the summer activity of both teams. Oud-Heverlee is weaker than last season, and imo can't replay such a good season like last one. Truiden to take points there.
