Last season winner was Blues Espoo, their 2nd win on this tournament as they've won it's edition in year 2001. Last season was their best ever i think, 2nd place in regular championship, 2nd place in Play-off, losing to powerful Karpat in Finals. Team hasn't changed much, few players left, few new came and in first preparation game this season they've played 2:2 with Lukko Rauma. Their only disadvantage here is less time spent on ice when we compare them with HPK.

In contrary, HPK had one of the worst season in history of the club. 12th place and didn't even get to Play-offs. They've bought many new players, few good names, but we will see how will they act on ice. They already played four games, losing to Lukko 0:3 and Ilves 3:6, winning Lukko 3:2 and drawing with Jokerit 0:0. This results can't tell us much, as all teams are experimenting at this stage, but i think their team is still weaker then Blues one.

I like odds here, Blues team likes this tournament as they've won it twice, if they manage third title here, it will be best result in 18 years as only Magnitogorsk and Dinamo Moscow and Tappara managed to win it more then once. My estimation of odds is around 1.90, Nordicbet has it at 1.85, while Bwin holds 2.10. It's worth of shot for smaller stake
