Championship - Ipswich Town v Preston

So here we are at the start of the new Championship season. This league should again prove to be just as close as last season with anyone on their day beating each other. But i suspect that Ipswich will be up there this year.

Reasons for this pick? Well, Although Town's defence is not exactly solid away from home, last season at home they were very solid. In fact, one of the best in the league. Preston dont have any real quality in the attacking third either even though i do rate Chaplow and also like the loan signing of Ross Walace they just dont have a striker who will score that many goals.

My only real concern here is that Ipswich fail to break down Preston. I suspect that they will set their stall out to defend and get men behind the ball and just make things difficult for Ipswich. But Ipswich have alot of decent players capable of unlocking a defence. Garvan is key in the middle and creator of alot of attacks Ipswich make and Quinn and Haynes will get forward well on both wings. Up front Counago is always a difficult striker to face. He holds the ball up very well and brings others into the game and i think the signing of Lisbie will prove to be inspired. He has alot of pace and think he will also cause problems for Preston. I think the line is set wrong, it should be -0.75 as im sure it would have been had this game been played last season.
