Carnegie League - Waterford v Limerick
With that in mind Waterford will be looking for a win against Limerick, team that they've already beaten twice this season, both times with big margin (3:0 and 3:1). Waterford are the best home team in league, along with Sporting only unbeaten home team and their record of W8-D3-L0 24:7 might be improved if they repeat their great performance like in their derby win vs Sporting seven days ago. Waterford will have almost full squad to choose from, with McCarthy still injured and Dunphy doubtful.
Limerick had their good run, four wins in a row, including away wins to Dundalk and Shels, but since then they have lost twice and draw once. They've lost to Sporting away and to Longford at home and draw with Wexford at home - not the best results. Waterford will be though task, especially in the defensive part as Waterford is 2nd most efficient team, while Limerick has 4th worst defense. Poor record for team that is 5th, first best after "the big four". To make this task harder for visitors, they will have number of missings, with McCarthy injured, club captain Purcell doubtful and Harrington, Caroll, Bruton and Grant leaving the club. As their replacements club brought two unproven players, Scanlon from Hong Kong FC (!?) and Tierney on loan from Cork.
So, we have Waterford on one side. Full squad, big motivation, home advantage, good form and better quality. And Limerick on other side - poor form, team problems, no motivation (they can't promote, and can't go down really). Waterford already beaten them twice with big margins i think they'll make three in a row. I'm expecting results like 2:0 or 3:0.
