Canberra are in the race of the eight but today meet my other side for the 8 the Panthers, what a dilema, while the Knights probaly will get over the Titans this match will end with one side if the Knights win outside the 8.
The Panthers and Raiders were both beaten last wek pretty much after 20mins of each of their games against the Sea Eagles for the Panthers and the Broncos for the Raiders, but overall I thought that both sides after conceeding alot of early points regrouped and both the Panthers and Raiders created chances and if they had held some ball then they could of scored more and been right in their matches but for either side is was not to be.
The Panthers have ritchard back this week and if anything came from that Broncos game against canberra last week the Raiders are a chance of being caught out with Frankie and Tony Puleatua running wide at them,Penrith have also added some very good players into their squad who given a chance can make a difference,,the Panthers have also played well on the road this season so there are a few positives for the Panthers after last weeks loss.
The Raiders I thought went alright last weekend, the score blew out but their overall effort was pretty sound but their execution was shit, they keep naming Cossstigan and yet he has still not played yet,I think with the importance of this game that the Raiders will play him regardless as he will be needed, both these packs are pretty big and mobile and the backs are'nt small either,I think the Raiders have the experience to get over the Panthers backline but I have questions over the Raiders pack getting over the Panthers unless Cosstigan and Weyman play this weekend and I am pretty confident that either one or both will be with a game of this importance.
Recent results and the Raiders go well against the Panthers having won 6 of their last 7 against them, including their last 3 staright in Canberra,it is intresting to noth though that the Raiders who normally win big at home have beaten the Panthers in those 3 games by Margins of 4,1 and 8.
I like the Raiders because they are at home but the Panthers are worthy of the upset here, both sides have big packs but who both are mobile and will roam the field, the real question in this game is which side will make the error that costs them the match and you could flip a coin and get closer at getting that correct, but as the Raiders are at home and they do play well there I will give this game to the Raiders, but I doubt it will be a blowout and really this could be the best watching game of the entire round...Take the Raiders by 12 points or less....Good Luck.
