WTA - Marion Bartoli v Cibulkova

It took me a while before I decided to bet on this match. Many aspects are pointing that playing for 19-years old Slovakian Cibulkova against 24-years old French Marion Bartoli is a fair bet and worth for try. It's been quite unexpected seeing these two ladies in this tour phase, but the biggest difference is that Cibulkova proved and earned that spot and Bartoli in my opinion had more luck than skills on court. Marion Bartoli isn't the same player that thrills us year ago getting high spot in Wimbledon. This season was very poor for Marion. Many small injuries, form problems and a little to high weight this mainly caused low performances in most tours that we saw Marion. Even in Wimbledon she only reached 3'rd round where Bethanie Mattek beat her, which was quite surprising. Still she reached Stanford final two weeks ago but I won't say that mean she is in optimal form. Beating weak Keothavong, out of form Chakvetadze and far away from young years Sugiyama and losing in final with Alexandra Wozniak don't impress me much. Bartoli poses strong hit but it's not enough to grab much successes. In this tour she had a lot of luck in draw too. Sharapova gave her walkover, then she beat South, Chakvetadze and Sugiyama. South is not this league but still she lost a set with her, Chakvetadze struggle badly in this season and it was far errors fight, many breaks where finally Bartoli won 2:1. Sugiyama after few nice performance was out of power but still Bartoli took two medical times. Cibulkova in spite she is small girl she keep going pretty well on fast surfaces. Not strong serve but she move on court very good and in my opinion her deep-drive balls should ruing Bartoli game. Only if she will be able to exchange strong Bartoli hits. Cibulkova in this tour already eliminated Vesnina, Dementieva, Petrova and Jankovic. Very dangerous opponents for me. Jankovic gave up a little, but still Dominika game was fair enough. I don't think that the matter that Bartoli isn't going and Cibulkova is for Olimpic Games changes anything. Bartoli is out of Beijing because she is out of form, and Cibulkova is young and hungry for trophies, and I don't see much chances she will give up this game after three wins over good players. For me Dominika today!
