Corgon Liga - Nitra v Artmedia

Nitra are hosting Artmedia Petrzalka tonight.

Nitra have started the season with a win against newcomers DAC Dunajska 2-1 at home and with a 1-1 draw away at Zlate Moravce. LAst season, they've had a pretty good run, especially at home where they were very difficult to defeat, even by the top teams Zilina and Artmedia. Nitra were eliminated from the UEFA Cup by Nefti Baku. They've lost 0-2 away and won at home 3-1, but got eliminated for the goal conceded at home.

Petrzalka have started the season with 2 games at home, one win in the dying minutes 1-0 against Tatran Presov and then a shameful defeat at home against title contenders Zilina 0-2. They have an excuse though. Their attempt of going as far as possible in the way to CL Groups Stages. They eliminated FC Vaalleta with two wins 1-0 and 2-0. But then they surprisingly won against Tampere United in Finland by 3-1 and it looks like they will go through if they approach the second game with caution. IT would be a great chance for Slovakian club football to reach the third qualifying leg for CL, and who knows, with a bit of luck, the Groups Stages. This is why central and eastern teams have problems in local championships when they succeed in CL. Petrzalka is also the case here in my opinion and i believe they will approach the Nitra match with caution and a draw will suffice them for now.

Although Petrzalka won both games last season, 1-0 at home and 3-0 away, today i believe the circumstances are different and i see here a 1-1 result. I will go medium-low on it. Good luck.
