ATP - Dmitry Tursunov v Marat Safin

It seems that we will watch real Russian epic clash. Former no. 1 in past seasons struggled many times and fell far away from top that he used to be. But he surprised everyone with great performance at Wimbledon where he reached semi-final losing to Roger Federer. Well this proves that Safin is a big talent that still can fight on world class level, but also that he is king of unregular one, with hot temperament. It's been a month since grass Grand Slam and in my opinion Safin isn't able to hold such good form. We've seen him in two tours after Wimbledon, on clay he lost to Starace after 3-setter, and week ago in Toronto he reached second round. In first he won over Sam Querrey, but American was playing some realy poor tennis, his serve was so weak in that match and even that Safin was defending 5 break points. In second round he lost to Wawrinka who wasn't playing anything superb and still was able to win clearly. Safin poses nice first serve but he get only around half of balls in first shot. Also as we got used to Safin likes to get mad in match and many times it ruining his game. Tusunov is good player with a lot of patience. He knows how to lead long exchanges and I think his style will kill Safin. Dimitry lately showed some good skills. Final in Indianapolis, where he wasn't able do defend the title against great performing Simon, but was able to beat such player like Blake. Week ago in Toronto no problems against Lapentti and Lopez and loss 1:2 to Blake in quick re-match. Tursunov in spite he don't poses such power in his hits he seems to be more patience and statistically he looks quite better that Safin. Safin after Wimbledon's isn't playing such awesome tennis and in my opinion his for will be poor tonight.
