Eircom League - Bohemians v UCD
Now, when their schedule isn't really packed anymore they should be 100% in every game, and to boost their performance, they have few players coming back after injuries. Rossiter, Oman, and important striker Byrne are back in team, J.P. Kelly (again) and McGuiness are out.
Today Bohs will face UCD, struggling side that will have some difficulties today. Except their bad form (picking only a point in last four games) they will miss three defenders - Mahon, Shortall and Bermingham, along with midfielder King, while their offense might be problem as well as Fitzgerald and Byrne will face late fitness tests. In pre-match statement, their coach Pete Mahon said to the press: "We're going to give some of our younger players a chance. We haven't got that many choices. It's not the ideal situation to put young players into a game like this but it happened last season with Ian Bermingham up in the Brandywell and he played a stormer that day."
Well, last season Derry wasn't as good as this one, and Bohs are certainly on better level, while UCD is somewhat weaker at this time. I can't see here UCD surprise, even a point would be a miracle as Bohemians won 12 out of their 17 games. They are only team that didn't conceded goals in double digits (seven, average 0,41 gls per match) and under this circumstances i can see them winning with more then one. My expectations are 2:0 or 3:0, in worst case 1:0 win. UCD is weaker team even if they would play with first selection, with those missings they could be in deep trouble.
