Tour De France - Menchov v Schleck

D Day in the Tour de France. Arrive in the Alpe de Huez, in the last big mountain stage. The mountain is mythical, the Mother of All Climbs, the Queen Stage. Huez has 21 curves, each one with stories of attacks, Tours that are won and lost. About 15 km around 7 and 8% which, always, is decisive and creates enormous gaps. This Tour De France has all the cyclists very close and since this is the last mountain stage before the time-trial, the attacks must happen. The Croix de Fer, another special category climb, can brake some legs.

Schleck has time to win tomorrow. Evans must be at least at two minutes if he wants to in the Tour de France in the time-trial. Menchov lost time today and must win time tomorrow, but the two cyclists situation is not equal.

Schleck has a powerful team behind him and has the yellow jersey. He already won in Huez in 2006 and has all the motivation of the world. He has to attack.

Menchov is alone, no team, and already lost time today, a really punch in his morale. He is not an offensive cyclist and i see him more like trying to follow the CSC's than attacking himself.

Strange odds in my opinion. Schleck is the yellow jersey, has the best team, and needs to attack. Menchov has not the skill to attack that hard and will have to beat the CSC train, quite hard ^^
